The GNMI Hamilton clinic was designed as a contemporary diagnostic imaging facility that emphasizes clarity, efficiency, and patient comfort. The space balances clinical requirements with a clean, welcoming environment, supporting advanced imaging services within a calm and approachable setting.
OUR GOAL
The design focuses on creating a highly functional layout that streamlines staff workflow while providing a clear and intuitive experience for patients. Emphasis was placed on durability, ease of maintenance, and the integration of healthcare-grade materials, ensuring long-term performance without compromising the overall aesthetic.
Thoughtful Colour Palette
A neutral palette of light wood tones, soft greys, and subtle stone finishes establishes a warm and calming atmosphere. Minimal contrast and consistent material application create a cohesive environment that reinforces clarity and visual continuity throughout the clinic.
Organized Spaces
The clinic is organized to clearly separate public, diagnostic, and staff areas, supporting both privacy and operational efficiency. The reception and waiting areas are open and easily navigable, while corridors provide direct and efficient access to imaging and exam rooms. Support spaces, including control rooms and workstations, are strategically positioned to optimize staff movement and maintain a seamless patient experience.
Creative Approach
In the lunchroom, Studio Forma employed creative flooring and wall paint designs to fashion a cozy lounge area, evoking a sense of nature indoors. Custom millwork, adorned with murals echoing the outdoors, not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal but also fostered collaboration among team members, creating a welcoming and conducive environment for shared ideas and innovation.
