Intermediate Interior Designer – Commercial
Studio Forma is seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join our growing commercial interior design studio. This role is ideal for a thoughtful, detail-driven designer with strong technical skills, sound judgment, and a passion for creating elevated, functional commercial environments.
We are a collaborative, in-office studio that values design integrity, clear communication, and strong client relationships.
The Role
As an Intermediate Interior Designer at Studio Forma, you will work across multiple commercial projects, supporting design development from concept through construction. You will collaborate closely with other designers, consultants, and clients, and play an active role in bringing sophisticated, well-resolved interiors to life.
Responsibilities
– Contribute to the design and delivery of commercial interior projects from concept to completion.
– Produce construction drawings, permit drawings, documentation, specifications, and presentations
– Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers
– Attend client meetings, site visits, and project reviews
– Ensure designs align with applicable building codes and regulatory requirements
– Maintain Studio Forma’s design standards, attention to detail, and professional approach
Qualifications
– Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in commercial interior design
– ARIDO accredited (required)
– BCIN – Large Buildings certification considered a strong asset
– Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client meetings and job sites
– Fluent in English, both written and spoken
– Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills
– Comfortable working in a full-time, in-office environment (no remote work)
