Studio Forma is seeking an experienced Contract Furniture Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing, specification, purchasing, and delivery of contract furniture across our commercial interior design projects. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing vendors, budgets, and timelines while supporting elevated design outcomes.
This is a hands-on, in-office role within a collaborative studio environment.
The Role
As Contract Furniture Procurement Manager, you will oversee the full procurement lifecycle—from specification and pricing through ordering, tracking, delivery, and installation. You will work closely with designers, clients, manufacturers, and installers to ensure furniture solutions meet Studio Forma’s design standards, budgets, and schedules.
Responsibilities
– Manage end-to-end contract furniture procurement for commercial projects
– Source, specify, and price furniture in alignment with design intent and project budgets
– Prepare proposals, quotations, and purchase orders
– Coordinate with manufacturers, freight providers, and installers
– Track lead times, manage schedules, and resolve delivery or installation issues
– Review shop drawings, finishes, and samples for approval
– Maintain accurate procurement records, budgets, and status reports
– Support designers and clients with product knowledge and alternatives when needed
Qualifications
– 3+ years of experience in contract furniture procurement and sales
– Strong knowledge of commercial furniture systems, seating, casegoods, and finishes
– Experience working with manufacturers, and commercial installation teams
– Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with precision
– Valid driver’s license and ability to attend site visits as required
– Fluent in English, written and spoken
– Comfortable working full-time in-office (no remote work)
